Want to surround yourself with motivating people who can help you succeed with any important goal? Or regularly meet with one person who inspires you to take action?

Are you tired of starting a habit (or working toward a goal) and then quitting after a few days?

In Crowdsource Your Success, you will discover the power of public accountability and how it is the secret weapon of successful millionaires (even billionaires) all across the world.

No longer will you need to work on goals in isolation. Instead you can surround yourself with people who cheer on or coach you during those moments of doubt. To "be accountable", all you need is a clear goal and a willingness to let others help you achieve it.

If you've ever read or listened to Napoleon Hill's book Think and Grow Rich, then you know that masterminding is an important ingredient to personal success. The problem? Many listeners are left wondering How do I connect with a group near me? Or, more importantly How can I find people all over the world who share a similar goal?

These two questions (plus a whole lot more) are answered in Crowdsource Your Success, written by 22-time number-one best-selling author S.J. Scott.

What insights will you learn about this strategy?

  • Seven benefits of adding accountability to your daily routine.
  • The number-one rule for getting any type of result in your life.
  • Five real-world examples of people who use accountability to create amazing changes in their lives.

What are the different types of accountability?

In his book, S.J. covers seven types that you add to your life, including

  • Using a mobile app
  • Joining a virtual community
  • Working with an "accountabuddy"
  • Forming a mastermind group
  • Working with a coach

Crowdsource Your Success How Accountability Helps You Stick to Goals (Audible Audio Edition) SJ Scott Greg Zarcone Books

This is the book I should have had three years ago. Earlier this year I joined a self-publishing group and within that group each member had to be paired up with an accountability partner. I had never had a "partner" for anything before. It turned out that it was the best experience of joining the group. As Steve Scott [S.J. SCOTT] describes in his new book "The Accountability Manifesto" the people you spend the most time with will make or break your success.

This book wastes no time in getting into the most important principle taken right from Jack Canfield's "67 Success Principles": TAKE 100% PERCENT RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE. It is the perfect principle to begin with setting up readers/students for learning about this topic. In fact, Steve explains this principle so well that the price of this book is worth it just for the first chapter. Take 100% responsibility for your life.

What I liked about this book:
— clear, actionable steps you can do right away;
— A structure that is easy to follow and read
— Each chapter builds on the one before it
— Quality research and experience backed up with solid writing
— A definite book geared towards getting goals accomplished, and it shows you how with a partner

This book has some great links to accountability apps you can sign up for depending on what you need an accountability partner for. You can also find a virtual group such as a FB group and connect with people who have like interests. I really like the idea of the accountabuddy and how it can help you to strive for and complete goals together. As Steve points out, an accountabuddy can help you in a wide variety of areas for whatever challenges you are both facing. The book shows you how to get started with an accountabuddy and the advantages/disadvantages that you'll have.

If interested in setting up your own Mastermind group, the material gets into how to do that, the kind of people you want to set up your group with, and the structure of your Mastermind group. It also gets into how to structure a Mastermind meeting with your members.

For coaching, the next section gives a great strategy for finding a coach that suits your interests, understands your vision, and helps you to organize a plan for your goals and/or life. There is also a list of questions [interview] you can ask a potential coach before hiring or agreeing to someone.

My favourite section of this book was on the mentor relationship. Steve discusses the difference between mentoring, coaching and accountability; as well there are similarities that tie these three aspects together. I like the mentoring process described here because it is described as something that is relationship based, set for the longer term, and focuses on personal development rather than achievement. Steve also gives some great tips on how to find a mentor by following eight steps.

Finally, the book wraps up really nicely with an extended conclusion that ties in all the main points discussed. The author focuses here on how to add accountability to your goals, and what to do when it fails.

The accountability manifesto is concise, thorough and has enough actionable information that you can find your accountabuddy, coach, or mentor to help you through your goals, challenges and trouble spots. Whether you are thinking of joining a Mastermind group, or starting on yourself, you can take the lessons from here and apply it to your pursuits.

Crowdsource Your Success How Accountability Helps You Stick to Goals (Audible Audio Edition) SJ Scott Greg Zarcone Books Reviews

The author has tackled an essential topic for anyone who strives to be a growth minded person.

I appreciate the emphasis on taking full responsibility for your life. This was especially difficult for me when I was going through my divorce because my ego wanted to not take any more emotional hits.

The author lays the foundation for living an accountable life by demonstrating how empowering it is to first accept what is happening in your life without blaming others.

This book is well researched and well written and will be a manifesto for anyone who follows the practical and powerful concepts Mr. Scott puts forth.
I've read a bunch of SJ's books and he covers a lot of great options here for holding yourself accountable to your goals/habits. Truth is if you follow at least one of the recommended options here decently well, you'll see a pretty noticeable increase in the accountability you hold for yourself.

Quick, easy, and useful read as with most of SJ's books.
This book is good and has a lot of scientific data to back up its findings. Although to be honest, some of these things, in the bigger picture, are nothing new or revolutionary. They are good things to remember, but nothing that really blew my mind away. Nothing too new - except for being able to hold multiple people accountable through strategic formation of groups~ )
Steve Scott gives you everything you need to achieve more by using the 7 accountability strategies in The Accountability Manifesto. This book identifies 7 accountability strategies with guided steps to be successful, qualities to seek in mentors, how to maximize time with mentors, how to get started, picking great tools to aid you in your quest, 12 qualities of a good coach, 7 steps for creating dynamic masterminds. Scott marks a clear path of accountability to realizing your goals along with real life examples. He sprinkles in citations of research studies showing why a strategy is effective. One idea is to use "implementation intention" with "If-Then," scenarios to improve your success rates. Another effective method is to use "public deadlines" as Scott cites from a research journal, Psychological Science. He also gives recommended apps for improving accountability- that even connect to a coach or nutritionist. One thing I learned was to use "Accountabuddies," with a 5 step plan to effectively achieve all that you desire. I highly recommend this book, The Accountability Manifesto to anyone who wants to reach for the stars-Steve Scott will show you the fastest way to get there!
I love Steve Scott's books because you always know they are going to be quality. I have recently found an accountability partner or "accountabuddy" and having weekly chats has made a massive difference in my productivity and motivation, so I was curious to read Scott's book. It is a clear, step-by-step guide for setting up an accountability system and I would highly recommend it to people who are yet to set a system in place. I do think it's one of the best things you can do for business and even life, and this is an excellent guide on why it's important and how to go about it.
